New year for exciting changes!!!

I thought that I would give this blog thing a try for many reasons! 2010 will be a year of changes and my year to finally (how long have i been saying that) finish some things that I have started. Today I will make a list, which will grow I am sure of it, of all the things that I plan to do in the upcoming year.......

1. lose the last 40 pounds...
(you see, I lost about 70 pounds my sophomore year in college, followed by a tummy tuck and just have not finished losing the rest in order to reach my goal weight. I plan on joining a gym closer to my work since my current one is not convenient, and re-joining WW since that worked well so long ago.)

2. find a place to live...
( In january I am moving into my friend Cara's apartment in downtown Dallas while she is completing a 6 month fellowship in Philadelphia and I will need my own place to love following that. A location i plan on living in for a while and making my own little nest!)

3. furnish and decorate the aforementioned living space...
(I got rid of basically everything during the last move so this will most likely be a daunting task.)

4. cook and bake more...
(I know this sorta counteracts #1, however, there are several things that I have wanted to learn to bake and I am sure there are many people willing to be my taste testers...Rosa comes to mind. I will also attempt to cook more healthy meals for myself. Ideas welcome!)

5. join a local Dallas choral group...
(should be interesting since I have not really sung in a group since high school...oh how i miss madrigals...)

6. blog everyday...
(I know about myself that if I am being held accountable for my actions by others...you know, all you reading this... I will be more likely to accomplish my goals.)

That is all for now... wish me luck and I wish each and every one of you a Happy New Year in 2010!!!!!

((for the record these are NOT new year's resolutions since we all now those have a slim chance of being accomplished. this is simply my "to do" list for 2010. Hah!))

  1. Yay! A blogging friend! Take good care of my place. I know you will! Hate to break it to you though...there's not much space in my/your apartment to do much baking and cooking. You have to get creative with the space you have. You know, use the washer and dryer as counterspace, sprawl out into the breakfast nook thing.

    Love you and miss you!
